Tweet, tweet! On Friday, November 18th, Goodness Determined held its very first Twitter Chat! What’s a Twitter Chat? Well, you pretty much get on twitter, ask questions, then discuss the responses given by your community of followers. With Goodness Determined, Twitter Chats will occur monthly using the hashtag – #goodchat. It’s pretty cool and the first one turned out rather well. We brought people together to talk about the topic “(Actually) Uplift Detroit,” which expounded upon the featured article, “Detroit: Stand Up – Veronika Scott.” I really wanted to gather some peeps through the twittersphere to get their thoughts on the current state of Detroit and how we can continue to uplift the city. Here’s a quick recap of the wonderful insights/opinions within the Twitter Chat:

Question #1 – What’s the first word (or thing) you think of when you hear Detroit? #goodchat

Question #2 – Who or what is responsible, in your opinion, for the state the city is in? #goodchat

Question #3 – How do we seek out these young change makers and provide the support they need? #goodchat

We encourage everyone to get by their computers and take out their phones to participate next time! We need to hear from you as you share your amazing wisdomisms/opinions with the community at large. You can follow me on twitter to stay tuned for the next one at @DavidMerritt15. Also, shout-out to @kuhusaha, @jaywashradio, @SirelleCarter, @H_Grooms, & @ItsAntWright for being our biggest participants! Much love.
