First 60 Days - Blog Metrics

I launched Goodness Determined on November 2nd as my personal blog, as well as the place where all will be revealed in reference to What Happened to IMU? (More revelations coming soon) To follow up on our previous post, “Goodness Determined: The First 30 Days, we are back to let you in on how the second month went! One of our goals is to be very open and transparent about the development of Goodness Determined, as we look forward to sharing insights and data to keep you in the loop. The more you know, the more you will understand what’s going on. Here’s a look at Day 31-60 and some of the key metrics we are taking a look at to determine success:

Overview Statistics
3,447 visits and 2,169 unique visitors (-18% and -12% from previous month)
2.33 pages/visit (-22% from previous month)
2:18 average time on site (-32% from previous month)
Close to 46% returning visits to the site (+11% from previous month)

Although our visits, unique visitors, page visits, and average time on the site decreased, we’re still really encouraged by our second month metrics. With the holidays and winter break in full force, we still had over 2,000 unique visitors to the blog during a timeframe where people are usually on their computer less as they travel, take time off, and spend time with their family. And we started December, from December 4th to the 17th, having 14 straight days of 100 unique visitors, including 2,058 visits during that two week timeframe!

Frequency/Loyalty
Another important metric that we look at is visitor frequency/loyalty, which takes a look at the number of times a visitor comes to our site during a certain timeframe. It was great to see that compared to the first 30 days, we improved in the 9-14, 26-50, and 51-100 intervals regarding the count of visits. 10% of our site visitors during the second month visited the site more than 25 times.
